The Demented Adventures of Princess Pertties by K.D. Montgomery

The Demented Adventures of Princess PerttiesThe Demented Adventures of Princess Pertties by K.D. Montgomery
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Pertties thinks she is just a normal girl, well normal enough. She has no idea who she is or where she came from, she has no memories except for the past 5 years. After being discovered on the side of the road at the age of 11 by the man, who now with his wife, are taking care of her. The only thing connecting her to who she is, was a silver bracelet with her name on it, Pertties. That and the nightmares..

She goes to school and has a job at the towns only fast food restaurant, she's saving up. She's going to get out of this small town one of these days. Falling into the earth into what appeared to be an underground city wasn't exactly what she had in mind.

With the help of Demented, a troll, and apparent friend from the past. They escape the underground city and the evil enchantress and onto to adventure.

I enjoyed this book, I found it well written and interesting. When Pertties fell through the ground, first thing I thought was Alice falling through the rabbit hole into Wonderland. Full of adventure and just as "Demented".

I would recommend this book for middle grade kids, but closer to the "young adult" ages. The tweens so to speak.
